It is said that people have a mentality to remember the past beautifully. Retro marketing is what encourages people to consume while stimulating nostalgia. This stimulates memories of the past and revives memories, so that discontinued products are released again, or products are released by making the exterior design of the product an old version. These things made me think about analog and nostalgia once again, and I modified the layout of the old YouTube version that many people miss to fit the design of today. The appearance of the design is almost the same as the previous version, but the contents inside were inserted by the current version. I made a page for the playback screen and channel that users will use the most.
I think the reason the old and familiar things remain is that it gives people a more direct and authentic experience. Since we can’t live completely analog, we have to find a balance between digital and this so that they coexist. When designing in the future, I want to create a design that users can empathize with and think about from their point of view.
